The Library of Sumy State University invites you to visit the exhibition of illustrative graphics by Svitlana Kachurovska "Together to Victory".

Svitlana's creative output includes more than twenty personal exhibitions and 15 illustrated and authored books. According to the artist, it was the creation of characters that helped her distract from bad news and added optimism.

At the beginning of the war, Svitlana and her family left her hometown of Sumy for Vinnytsia. And it was there that the first drawings appeared. The first one was Javelinka, then Bayraktarchyk, Javelinka's brother, and then others appeared. Some of these heroes have their own history and are drawn from real people - Svitlana's acquaintances, who bring Ukraine's victory closer with their actions.

«Our power is embedded in every ornament, thought, dream that is passed down from generation to generation. My Ornamtycs are created from my grandmother's embroidery, stories and warm memories! Marigolds, hazel, currants, pear, viburnum… My Ukraine smells exactly like this!»

The exposition presents 26 works. All of them are incredibly positive and bright. Looking at these pictures, you feel how confidence and absolute faith in our victory grows.

You can visit the exhibition until April 28, 2023, from Monday to Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Event Room of the Sumy State University Library.
