ASTM Compass
Until December 31, 2025, Sumy State University has access to the ASTM Compass resource. Access was obtained thanks to the cooperation of the university library with the public Association Informatio-Consortium with the assistance of the international foundation eIFL.net.
ASTM Compass is a collection of leading industry standards and technical information developed by the American Society for Testing & Materials (ASTM International).
ASTM Compass is one of the most comprehensive libraries of technical information, including more than 12,000 standards, more than 1,500 books, and 47,000 articles and documents.
Over 2,000 top universities use ASTM Compass as a primary resource for their students, faculty, and researchers.
The ASTM Compass collection includes materials from the following industries:
- mechanics
- material science
- electronics
- environment
- health care and medical devices
- chemical and civil engineering
- solar energy, and many others.

The use of resources requires mandatory compliance with the following conditions:
1. Full texts of documents (articles, books, chapters, etc.) may be printed or saved only for personal use for educational and research purposes.
2. Systematic uploading of documents or search results, particularly with robots, is prohibited. In case of non-compliance with the requirements of this clause, access to the resource will be terminated for the entire institution.
3. Transferring documents to third parties in electronic or printed form is not allowed.
4. Commercial use of research results is not allowed.
