On December 14, another meeting was held with our colleagues from the University of Liverpool Library within the framework of the "Unity Initiative" project. This time the topic was purely about social network management, sharing experience in this area and planning joint projects. The organizer and participant from the British side was Alex Widdeson, manager of marketing and development of social networks of the University of Liverpool library. From our side - the team for the development and administration of the library's social networks.

During the dialogue, many practical issues were considered, in particular:

  • social media policy and content plan development
  • tools for creating, analyzing content, using social network algorithms in work
  • cases involving audience engagement, media content development
  • financing of projects, advertising and social media pages
  • interaction with the audience and their involvement in content creation and other activities

As a result of the meeting, we received valuable recommendations for improving the work and presentation of the Library of Sumy State University in the virtual space, got acquainted with cases that work effectively for the audience of the University of Liverpool and British youth in general. We agreed to work on the development and implementation of joint creative projects in the social networks of our Libraries. We are sure that its result will pleasantly surprise not only us, but also, first of all, our subscribers.

Cooperation and communication with our European colleagues strengthens our partnership and professional ties, expands opportunities and acquired skills.
