The program will run from September 18, 2023 through December 15, 2023, and will be fully remote.  As part of this program, teams of 2-3 Ukrainian students will work with a faculty member at NYU or another university in the US or Western Europe, and with another researcher on their team (usually a graduate student or postdoctoral researcher) on a topic of mutual interest. Research will be conducted remotely, and will be supplemented by in-person activities at UCU in Lviv, Ukraine.

Students selected to participate in the program will receive academic credit (5 ECTS credits) towards their degree in Fall 2023.  Opportunities to continue will be available for Spring / Summer 2024, conditional on progress and continued mutual interest.  Students continuing in Spring / Summer 2024 will receive a stipend for their involvement.

Program dates:  September 18, 2023 through December 15, 2023, fully remote.

  1. English proficiency is required, but language support will be available.
  2. Preference will be given to Masters students, followed by Bachelors students in the final years of their studies.
  3. If you are selected to participate in this program, you will receive visiting student status at the NYU Tandon School of Engineering.
  4. NYU and UCU value diversity.  We strongly encourage students from groups that are historically underrepresented in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) to apply.
To express your interest in the program, please fill out this form by September 4, 2023.
