Only 20% of IT professionals in Europe are women. Despite their smaller presence in tech, women have many career opportunities. The key is to know where to look for these opportunities and how to use them properly to develop women’s leadership, or work in the tech field on an equal footing with men and build a culture in which it will be customary to talk about the achievements of women in the technological area. That’s why InnoHub is organizing the Women’s Leadership in Tech Online Meet-up, which will shed light on the opportunities for women’s professional realization in IT.

The Women’s Leadership in Tech Online Meet-up will bring together members of the active international women-focused communities in one place. They will introduce learning, sharing, and networking options for ladies in IT. Each speaker will share her competencies and answer three questions that will help you to take a helicopter view of the main platforms for growth and development:

• The role of women in the modern European IT market;
• What possibilities the community provides to women for overcoming gender stereotypes and building careers in information technology;
• What prospects and challenges await women in the field of IT.

Here are the speakers:

• Bianka Siwińska, CEO of Perspektywy Women in Tech / Managing Director of the Perspektywy Education Foundation, PhD. She develops such projects as IT for SHE, New She is also the creator of the Perspektywy Women in Tech Summit — the most important event for women in technology in Europe.
• Valerie Kuzmenko, Co-founder, and CEO of the accelerator Baltic Sandbox Ukraine. She’s also a Mentor at Tezos Ukraine Blockchain Hackaton 2022, and Venture Studio 1991. She’s a strategic advisor and a mentor for IT company owners and had more than 100 consultations in 2021.
• Veroslava Novosilnaya, Co-founder of Wtech Ukrainian Community, founder, and CEO of SLOVA Tech PR, the first agency from Ukraine that works with IT businesses, technology start-ups, and venture capital funds.
• Olga Afanasyeva, Head of ELEKS Kyiv, PhD, Founding Advisory Committee Member at 100Women@Davos. For six years, Olga has been the CEO of the Ukrainian Venture, and Private Capital Association (UVCA), of which she is currently an Honorary Member. She is the author of the Investment Course for Business Angels and Venture Investors. She was nominated by the Financial Times and Google as Changemaker New Europe 100.
• Alexa Sinyachova, Co-Founder & CEO at Moeco, Wtech Berlin Curator. For the last 12 years, she has been helping startups drive growth and innovation. Alexa is an active member of the blockchain community and a “super-connector” in the tech industry of Silicon Valley.

This online meet-up will be moderated by Olha Boiko, VP of Brand & Communications at Innovecs. Olha is also an ambassador at WomenTech Network community and an official member of Forbes Communications Council.

Women’s Leadership in Tech Online Meet-up is free and will take place on May 5 at 5 p.m. (GMT+2).
