The library of Sumy State University presents a personal exhibition of paintings "Paradise Country" by the People's Artist of Ukraine, Oleksandr Cherednychenko.
The artist was born in Lozova, Kharkiv region. Graduated from Kharkiv State Art School (1977), Kharkiv Art and Industrial Institute (1982). Lives and works in Sumy. Oleksandr Cherednychenko is a participant in regional, all-Ukrainian, and international exhibitions, as well as various art projects.
14 works are presented in the exposition of this exhibition. Lyrical and monumental epic landscapes, bright still lifes, sensual portraits, and plot-thematic paintings testify to the versatility of the author's talent and the breadth of his creative range.
The artist sensually depicts the beauty of our native land, it fascinates and evokes a whole vortex of positive emotions. Some paintings are reminiscent of creative travels and all-Ukrainian plein airs of the author, such as "Port of Kotor" (Montenegro). It is impossible not to smell the flowers that are so lovingly depicted in the paintings "Summer on the Windowsill", "Mallows", "Welcoming Bouquet". The pearl of the exposition is the "Self-portrait" of the artist, which depicts the mood, state of mind, and inner world of a person in a special way.
You can visit the exhibition until August 31, 2024, from Monday to Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Event Room of the Sumy State University Library (BIC-204).
