Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) is a critically important part of the Web of Science Core Collection™.

ESCI covers a wealth of publication and citation data from 2005 to 2017 including over 2.6 mln publication records from 220 countries and territories. The ESCI archive is particularly important not only as a broader source of publication data for social sciences and humanities, but also as an additional set of citations contributing to publication impact.
